Position Description & Responsibilities

The SFDC Developer is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Mainframe CRM system, Salesforce – Unlimited Edition. This includes gathering requirements from key users and stakeholders and designing and implementing new functionality to support business goals as well as integrating to other business applications.

  • Understands Technologies and Architecture: Visualforce, web service, interfaces, Mobile, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Standard/Custom Objects, Workflows, Approvals, Formulas, Validation Rules, Apex Classes and Controllers, Apex Triggers.
  • Understands Salesforce object integrations and relationships as well as their limitations.
  • Interacts professionally and effectively with all stakeholders regarding requirements and issues.
  • Provides appropriate data access and security by maintaining the role hierarchy, access profiles, permission sets, sharing rules and other security systems within
  • Develops and delivers code to customize, enhance and integrate and boundary systems, understanding the efficiencies of code versus configuration.
  • Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Performs manual or automated data entry/data clean-up using the UI, API or data tools such as Apex Data Loader or Demand Tools.
  • Manages and implements customization requests, including creating workflow triggers, workflow alerts, automated email responses, custom fields, layouts, etc.
  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures.
  • Strategic planning, design and implementation of new functionality; business requirements gathering, and user support
  • Prepare documentation and training manuals
  • Provide on-going training in formal and informal settings to new and existing users of the system.



  • 4+ years of experience with APEX
  • Experience with Visualforce
  • 4+ years of experience with SFDC administration and/or implementation
  • Strong documentation and training skills
  • Proficient in data manipulation (Apex Data Loader or Demand tools a plus)
  • Outstanding analytical, business process development, and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to troubleshoot system, process, and data issues and think clearly under pressure

Desired Skills/Competencies:

  • Visualforce and or HTML
  • Salesforce Certified Admin or Developer
  • SOQL and SQL
